Job summary

Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in Worcester is hiring a Medical Assistant to support pediatric and adult patients. This role collaborates with clinicians to deliver high-quality, safe care and maintains clean, fully stocked exam rooms.

Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, point-of-care testing, patient preparation, data tracking, and adherence to compliance standards. Evening, weekend, or holiday shifts may be required on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• CPR certification.

• Performs Office Visit Planning and reviews EHR prior to the session in a pre-visit huddle with team members.
• Maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment for patients and visitors; ensures exam rooms are stocked.
• Performs point-of-care testing, clinical procedures and assessments per center policies.
• Prepares patients for examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Assists providers and nurses in collection, processing, and tracking of forms.
• Collaborates with providers and the nurse manager to follow up on patient data and track results.
• Meets compliance and regulatory standards.
• Participates in practice- and organization-wide training and quality improvement initiatives.
• Note: position may require evening, weekend and/or holiday shifts on a rotating basis.

Salary Range: $20.00-24.00/Hour
