Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support in our West Palm Beach office. You will prepare patients, assist providers during exams, and maintain sterile treatment areas.

Duties include recording history, vital signs, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; CMA preferred or obtainable within 120 days; CPR/BLS preferred or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CMA preferred or able to obtain certification within 120 days.
• Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred or able to obtain within 30 days via Women’s Care training.
• Experience in OB/GYN or Primary Care is a plus.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections, if applicable.
• Proficient with computer data entry in electronic medical records (eCW).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients during office visits and assist patients and family members before, during and after a doctor’s visit.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment, procedures, examinations, and testing.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas per policies.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint; measure and document vital signs.
• Relay messages from patients and front office staff to providers.
• Represent the office in a professional manner; treat all customers with courtesy.
• Participate in team activities and professional development; attend required meetings.
• Demonstrate and embody Women’s Care mission and core values; compliance with HIPAA.
• Other duties as assigned.
