Job summary

Women’s Care seeks a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support across offices. You will prep patients, assist providers during examinations, and help maintain clean, compliant care environments in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, recording medical history, phlebotomy and injections when needed, and educating patients per provider instructions. Prior OBGYN or primary care experience is a plus, with HIPAA adherence and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA certification preferred or obtainable within 120 days.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and injections when applicable; prior MA training helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients during office visits and assist providers during procedures and testing.
• Record medical history, vital signs, and ensure accurate documentation in EMR.
• Sterilize rooms and restock supplies; maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
• Educate patients per provider instructions and relay messages between patients and staff.

Prepares patients during office visits and assists patients and family members before, during and after a doctor’s visit.Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment/procedures, examinations, and testing of patients.Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas per established policies and procedures.Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.Measure, record, and document vital signs.Where applicable, perform phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection per established policies and procedures as directed by the provider.Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider.Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.Sterilize medical instruments per established standards and procedures.Relay messages from patients and front office staff to providers.Represent the office in a professional manner.
