Minimum Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical procedures and techniques.
• Cooperative work attitude toward co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians

Physical and Mental Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

I. Duties

• A. Prepare and organize the exam room for the treatment of patients
• B. Notifies appropriate clinical staff that patient is present
• C. Obtains medical history, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records in patient’s chart
• D. Evaluates schedules and reminds patients of appointments and to bring a list of all medications
• E. Ensures that equipment representatives and/or vendors have appropriate badges and do not interfere with patient care or confidentiality
• F. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the practice.
• G. Utilizes electronic health records
• H. Performs other duties as needed
