Salary Range: $23.33 To $32.67 Hourly

We are looking for two full-time Medical Assistants to join our team in Salmon Creek, WA. This position is responsible for patient care activities to assist within our orthopedic practice and will work with multiple providers and rotate to multiple locations. The ideal candidate will possess great organizational skills, a can‑do attitude, a desire to learn the practice, and a collaborative team spirit. The candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, a superior commitment to patient care, and the ability to work closely with patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients to be seen by the provider by escorting them to exam rooms, taking vitals, and documenting charts.
  • Assist patients in patient flow through the clinic.
  • Schedule and prepare packets for minor and minimally invasive procedures for both in‑office procedure rooms and outpatient ambulatory surgery centers.
  • Prepare exam rooms and instruments for examination and testing; stock supplies.
  • Maintain workstations, exam rooms, and procedure rooms by cleaning and stocking.
  • Label, prepare, and maintain proper storage for specimens and tests; ensure lab personnel pick up specimens and obtain results.
  • Ensure lab reports, imaging, and other information are available to providers.
  • Assist providers with orders and referrals, both internal and external.
  • Assist providers with diagnostic procedures and treatments such as NCVs, ultrasound‑guided evaluations, and injections.
  • Reinforce patient education and act as a communication liaison between patients and providers.
  • Check appointment schedules and assist the Call Center with physicians’ patient schedules.
  • Attend required meetings, in‑services, and participate in committees as requested.
  • Work at different Rebound locations as needed and scheduled by the supervisor.
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Perform other related work as required.
Qualifications

Education: Graduation from high school or GED; graduate from a Medical Assisting Program.

Certificate/License: BLS Certification; valid Washington State certification to practice medical assisting.

Experience: One year of work experience, preferably in a clinic or medical office setting. Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Skill in maintaining records and recording test results.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to reason independently, computer proficiency, and dependability.
