Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in West Bloomfield, MI. This is a CONTRACT opportunity of 12 weeks and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team and provide top-quality support to both patients and providers. In this role, you will assist in clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient medical office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable interacting with patients in a fast-paced environment. You’ll play a critical role in patient care, from preparing exam rooms to managing medical records. Your strong communication and multitasking skills will contribute to a seamless patient experience. This is a great opportunity to grow within a respected healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities and skills:

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Record vital signs, medical history, and patient concerns accurately
• Assist physicians during exams and minor office procedures
• Administer medications or injections as directed by the provider
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems (EHR/EMR)
• Schedule appointments, manage phone calls, and verify insurance
• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms between patients
• Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as specimen collection and testing
• Monitor inventory and stock medical supplies as needed
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic protocols to ensure safety and compliance

Qualifications:

• Minimum education- High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a medical assistant program required
• BLS certificate from AHA
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Detail-oriented with good experience.
• Data entry and processing.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.

Additional Information:

• Location: West Bloomfield , MI and other locations
• Job Type: 12 weeks contract
• Shifts: 8 HOURS SHIFT
• Hourly Pay: $18-$19/ hr

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
