Green Key Resources is seeking a permanent Medical Assistant in the Town of Florida, New York. The Medical Assistant will assist with clinical and administrative duties, prepare treatment rooms, and collect patient specimens.

The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish and hold a Medical Assistant Diploma. The role offers a pay rate of $18-$22/hr, a full benefits package, and the opportunity for an annual bonus.

Formación

• Certification must be obtained within one year if not already certified.

Pay Rate: $18-22/hr PLUS full benefits package PLUS annual bonus!

Job Type: Permanent Direct Hire

Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday 8a-5p (8-hour days) -or-Mon, Tues, Thursday, and Friday7a-6p (10-hour days).

Must be bilingual English and Spanish

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting with clinical and administrative duties. As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for obtaining patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative tasks, preparing treatment rooms for examinations, and assisting our practitioners during medical procedures.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

1. Fundamental Procedures

• Perform handwashing
• Wrap items for autoclaving
• Perform sterilization techniques
• Dispose of biohazardous materials
• Practice Standard Precautions

2. Specimen Collection

• Perform venipuncture
• Perform capillary puncture
• Obtain specimens for microbiological testing
• Instruct patients in the collection of a clean-catch, mid-stream urine specimen
• Instruct patients in the collection of a fecal specimen

4. Patient Care

• Perform telephone and in-person screening
• Obtain vital signs
• Obtain and record patient history
• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas
• Prepare patient for and assist with routine and specialty examinations
• Prepare patient for and assist with procedures, treatments and minor office surgeries
• Apply pharmacology principles to prepare and administer medications
• Maintain medication and immunization records
• Screen and follow-up test results

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English and Spanish
• Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited medical assisting program
• BLS Certification
