Job summary

Comprehensive Cardiovascular Center of Coachella Valley is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. You will prepare for patient visits by preparing charts and pulling records, providing routine support, and assisting with tests and lab reporting to ensure timely care.

You will manage medical supply inventory, set up equipment, and clean instruments after use. You will answer phones, register patients, verify insurance, and obtain prior authorization for tests and procedures.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required
• Certified Medical Assistant desired (or equivalent medical office experience)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Spanish language skills strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling records and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Track lab results and handle basic medical office duties
• Obtain vitals accurately and perform EKG's, ABI, cardiac monitor hook-up
• Medication reconciliation
• Verify insurance eligibility
• Obtain prior authorization for tests and procedures
• Clean any instruments and equipment after use
• Assist doctors with basic medical care and procedures

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling records and reports before their arrival, providing routine support alongside medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up medical and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms after patient use. You will be answering phones, registering new patients, verifying insurance, and obtaining prior authorization for tests and procedures. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, be detail oriented, demonstrate commitment to quality patient care, be diligent in documentation, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous medical office experience.
