Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification is required.
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience in orthopaedics or high-volume clinics preferred.
  • Strong communication and professional presence.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms, escort patients, and assist with procedures including injections and dressing changes.
  • Educate patients on post-visit instructions, verify prescriptions, and update information in our electronic systems.
  • Review patient vitals and medical histories for accuracy, ensuring intake data from tablets is complete and reliable.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical workspace at all times.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth, high-quality patient flow in a busy clinical environment.

Are you passionate about providing exceptional care in a fast-paced clinical setting? Florida Orthopaedic Institute is looking for dependable, patient-focused Medical Assistants to support our providers and enhance the patient experience. In this full-time role, you will play an essential part in delivering high-volume orthopedic care while ensuring every patient feels seen, heard, and cared for.

Compensation

$18.00 – $27.00 per hour
Compensation is based on experience, certification level, and relevant orthopedic or high-volume clinical background.

What You'll Do
  • Support your assigned provider(s) by preparing exam rooms, escorting patients, and assisting with procedures including injections and dressing changes.
  • Educate patients on post-visit instructions, ensure prescriptions are accurate, and verify information in our electronic systems.
  • Review and verify patient vitals and medical histories for accuracy, ensuring all intake information received through tablets is complete and reliable.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and fully stocked clinical workspace at all times.
  • Collaborate closely with your team to ensure smooth, high-quality patient flow in a busy clinical environment

What You Need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification (required)
  • BLS Certification (required within 90 days of hire)

  • Experience in orthopaedics, trauma, or a high-volume practice
  • Prior experience assisting with procedures such as injections or suture removal
