Job summary

Shady Grove Fertility in Westshore, Florida, is seeking a Medical Assistant for weekend shifts (Sat/Sun, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM). The role supports fertility care teams across a national network, performing phlebotomy, room setups, vitals, and patient check-ins while maintaining accurate records and coordinating appointments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, medical training, and 1 year of experience preferred, with strong computer and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Completion of a certified or formal medical training program (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions.
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations.
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs.
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, EMR, and forms.
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels; ensure orders exist.
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments.
• Set up rooms for procedures, take vitals, assist with procedures as needed, stock rooms.
• Maintain patient medical records through the EMR system.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Westshore, Florida.

• Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM

In this role, the Medical Assistant will:

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, electronic medical records, and appropriate outside laboratory forms
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels, ensure orders for lab work are in place
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments clinical care of fertility patients
• Set up rooms for procedures, take vital signs, obtain patient height and weight, assist with procedures as needed, clean and stock rooms and care for equipment according to manufacturer and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain patient medical records through the use of electronic medical records
