About the Position

Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is seeking a PER DIEM (0.0 FTE) Clinic Medical Assistant for the Franciscan Medical Clinic - Pearl in Tacoma, WA. We seek a motivated individual to support our fast-paced, team-based environment, working with primary care patients of all ages. Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for visits, obtain vital signs, and record health information.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and clinical procedures, including blood draws, skin tests, and injections.
• Administer medications and vaccinations.
• Manage patient flow, including patient and family education.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain clean and orderly care areas.
• Schedule appointments and perform administrative duties.
• Participate in continuing education, meetings, and committees.
• Perform medical scribe duties under provider supervision, in accordance with policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant certification program.
• Preferred: One year of Medical Assistant experience.

Licensure/Certifications

• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
