A healthcare provider in Spokane is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff with various patient care responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, experience as a Medical Assistant, and CPR certification. Candidates with phlebotomy experience and additional years in a clinic setting are preferred. The role offers a competitive salary range of $21.80 to $31.61 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
  • Current DOH MA Certified or eligible for DOH MA Registered credentials.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care duties.
  • Perform clerical duties and maintain patient records.
  • Set up daily patient charts and call patients as directed.

Job description

Cancer Care Northwest is hiring a full time Medical Assistant with responsibilities to assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care duties. This position is also responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties requiring experience and knowledge of office functions. Performs clinic support tasks, including miscellaneous clerical tasks, making calls to patients per physician's order and setting up daily patient charts in the EMR including history of present illness, past medical/surgical history, past family/social history, allergies and medications.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must:

  • Washington: High School Diploma or General Education Degree. Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants. Current DOH MA Certified or able to obtain DOH MA Registered credentials or Current DOH Nursing Assistant Certified in a hospital or clinic setting. CPR certification.

It is preferred an individual have:

  • Previous phlebotomy experience
  • 3-5 years of Medical Assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting
