Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing leadership in ambulatory settings. Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with 160-hour clinical externship, OR one year of clinical medical assisting experience in the past five years, OR current MA certification with one year of experience.
• Current BLS-C certification on hire or by end of orientation.

What You Will Need:

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with a 160-hour clinical externship, OR one year of clinical medical assisting experience within the past five years, OR current professionally recognized Medical Assistant Certification with one year of experience, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/EMT with one year of clinical experience, OR military-trained medical personnel with one year of clinical experience.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
