Job summary

Tennessee Medicine & Pediatrics, P.C. is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our clinic in Smyrna or Murfreesboro. The role includes injections, vaccinations, blood draws, triage calls, and charting, with emphasis on compassionate patient care and HIPAA compliance.

Candidates should have a MA degree or 3 years of related experience, be proficient with EMR systems (ECW preferred), and demonstrate strong communication in a fast-paced setting. Full-time with benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant degree/diploma or 3 years of clinic experience.
• Able to use EMR software easily and comply with HIPAA.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably ECW.

Responsibilities

• Administer injections and vaccinations and perform blood draws.
• Handle prior authorizations and triage patient calls.
• Interview patients and document medical history; take vital signs.
• Update medical records and coordinate hospital admissions as needed.
• Scribe into patient charts and ensure accuracy.

Job description

Candidates must have a Medical Assistant degree/diploma or 3 years of on-the-job experience directly related to working in a healthcare clinic setting

Must be computer savvy and able to use electronic medical records software easily. Candidate must understand the importance of HIPAA compliance

Experience working with Electronic Medical Record systems needed, preferably with ECW (eClinicalWorks)

Position includes duties not limited to: injections, vaccinations, blood draws, prior authorizations, triage phone calls, interview patients and document basic medical history, taking vital signs, update medical record as needed, arrange hospital admissions, compile and scribe directly into patient's charts

Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Position offers Paid-Time Off (PTO), in addition to medical, dental, life insurance and 401k to full time employees

Full time position, working Monday to Friday at our Smyrna or Murfreesboro location as needed

Pay is based off experience
