Job summary

Sleep RX LLC, a rapidly growing DME company specializing in respiratory care in Skokie, IL, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. Join our team to grow clinically with comprehensive training, Monday–Friday daytime hours, and no nights or weekends.

You will work with Respiratory Therapists and clinical staff to support patients receiving NIV, CPAP/BiPAP, home oxygen, and other respiratory equipment. Prior DME experience isn’t required—we’ll teach you the DME side.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or relevant healthcare experience.
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, patient-first attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow, training provided to cover DME respiratory care.

Responsibilities

• Support patients receiving NIV, CPAP/BiPAP, home oxygen, and other respiratory equipment.
• Coordinate patient care and educate patients on equipment basics.
• Communicate with physicians and referral sources; assist with documentation.
• Schedule follow-up care and ensure exceptional service throughout treatment journey.
• Assist with general tasks; role is crucial to patient success in respiratory therapy.

No prior DME experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant on our team, you'll work alongside our Respiratory Therapists and clinical staff to support patients receiving:

• Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV)
• CPAP and BiPAP therapy
• Home oxygen therapy
• Other respiratory equipment and supplies

You'll help coordinate patient care, educate patients on equipment basics, communicate with physicians and referral sources, assist with documentation, schedule follow-up care, and ensure every patient receives exceptional service throughout their treatment journey.

This role is less hands-on clinically than a Respiratory Therapist position but plays a vital role in helping patients succeed with their respiratory therapy.
