Job summary

Providence Facey Medical Foundation seeks a Medical Assistant II who, under the delegation of a licensed practitioner, performs duties to support patient care and the MA I scope. The MA II is fully competent in clinical needs for the clinic and adheres to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MA program or MA apprenticeship.
• Two years of medical training in US Armed Forces or 6 months MA clinical experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 6 months healthcare experience and 6 months MA experience.

Job description

The Medical Assistant (MA) II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
• Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
• Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months Healthcare experience.
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
