Pacific Fertility Center (www.pacificfertilitycenter.com) is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our team in San Francisco. PFC has been around since 1999 and is one of the top fertility centers in the country. All of our physicians are board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists and Infertility Specialists (REIs). We offer treatments ranging from In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to Egg Freezing. Everything we do at PFC is guided by our Mission Statement: “As a unified team, guided by the highest ethical standards, we provide our patients with the best quality, individualized, compassionate fertility care.”

The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients during their appointments. Potential candidates should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships.

Hours: Typically, full-time 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Weekend and holiday rotations are required.

Pay: $23-$25/hr.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Assist physicians with patient care, treatments, and procedures
2. Prepare patients for exams and procedures
3. Help to safely position and transfer patients undergoing procedures requiring anesthesia
4. Provide ultrasound guidance during procedures
5. Set-up instruments, equipment, and sterile trays for exams and procedures
6. Clean, wrap, and sterilize instruments
7. Accurately label and prepare specimens for sending to outside laboratories
8. Organize, stock, and clean exam rooms
9. Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in electronic medical records

Skills & Requirements:

1. Completion of Medical Assistant program with diploma, Medical Assistant Certification, or Phlebotomy Certification is required
2. Phlebotomy experience preferred
3. High school diploma or equivalent required
4. Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records
5. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
