Job summary

ERP International, LLC is seeking Medical Assistants (non-certified) for full-time roles at Naval Medical Center San Diego and surrounding clinics. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 0600–1800; no holidays or weekends. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and graduate from an approved medical assistant program.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assistant program.
  • Alternative programs: ACCSC, ACICS, ACCET, ACCJC accepted.
  • No prior experience required; recent graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival.
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
  • Check patient's vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
  • Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vital signs on the correct form.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
  • Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
  • Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Degree: Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate
  • Education: Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
  • Alternative Education Requirements: As an alternative to the education requirements above, the employee may be a graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by any of the following:
  • Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
  • Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
  • Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET).
  • Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior College (ACCJC).
  • Experience: No prior working experience required. Can be a recent graduate from an approved training institution.
  • Certification: Certification is not required for these positions.
  • Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.
  • Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA OR ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Pay Scale: $22.97 - 26.00 per hour, to be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location
