Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Full Time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in San Bruno, CA. The role requires strong phlebotomy skills and a minimum of 2 years of MA experience, with a schedule 7:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday; no weekends.

You will interview patients, record vital signs, assist at front desk, administer medications and perform labs and EKGs, while maintaining accurate health records and ensuring a clean, prepared treatment room. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Certification in Medical Assisting with hands-on externship required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate (AHA/ARC) required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in San Bruno, CA. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills and a minimum of 2 years of MA experience. Work schedule may vary within the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. No weekends!

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
