Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in San Bruno, CA. You will interview patients, measure vitals and manage records, while preparing rooms and sterilizing instruments. You will administer medications, perform lab tests and EKGs, and assist at the front desk with scheduling and supplies.

Required are 2+ years MA experience and strong phlebotomy skills, plus current BLS certification. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in San Bruno, CA. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills and a minimum of 2 years of MA experience. Work schedule may vary within the hours of 7:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. No weekends!

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $31.20 - $39.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
