Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care in San Antonio is seeking a Medical Assistant who serves as the first point of contact for patient care, performing clinical and administrative duties at an outpatient site.

Duties include vitals, injections, specimen collection, EMR data entry, and maintaining exam rooms; onsite reporting to Clinic Administrator.

The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.

Job Functions

• The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties. These duties include discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. They also take vital signs, give injections, and perform diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Medical Assistant collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site.
• You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at Conviva Legacy Place located at: 18414 US Hwy 281 N, Suite 104, San Antonio, TX 78259.

Required

• You will have successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• You will have a high school diploma or equivalent
• You will be CPR Certified

Preferred

• You will have phlebotomy experience
• You will have medication/vaccine administration experience
• You will have 1+ years MA experience
• You will have Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• You will be Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
