Job summary

Arkansas Dermatology in Russellville is hiring a Medical Assistant/Nurse to support patient exams in a fast-paced dermatology clinic. You will record medical histories, confirm visit purposes, prepare patients for treatment, and assist with procedures including blood draws and wound care.

Candidates must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate should have clinical experience and a job history exhibiting stability and longevity.

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive:

• Help providers examine and treat patients. Many hands-on elements such as blood draws, injections, wound care, and assisting during procedures are a requirement for this position.

• Maintain accurate electronic charts in EHR.
• Patient Education.
• Returning patient phone calls.
• Under provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Collecting, documenting, and delivering lab specimens.
