LGTC Group in Roseville, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical care under the supervision of a nurse practitioner or physician. The role includes taking vital signs, collecting information, and assisting with injections and patient care procedures.

The Medical Assistant will maintain the active patient list, draft visit encounters in the EHR, manage inventory, and provide basic patient service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assisting training program.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of the patient care team is required.
• Ability to interact with potential patients, clinic staff, physicians and departments in a professional manner.
• Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor and interface well with patients in a mental health setting.
• Must respect and adhere to office guidelines and use good judgment regarding patient confidentiality.
• Punctual, reliable and flexible.
• One to two years prior experience as a MA preferred.
• Experience working with patients who are suffering from anxiety and depression preferred.

The clinical duties of the Medical Assistant are performed under the direct supervision of a nurse practitioner or physician. The Medical Assistant carries out clinician orders and performs/assists with patient care procedures and treatments.
