Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full Time Medical Assistant for our Health Center in Portland, OR. You will provide clinical care and administrative support to a primarily corporate patient population, including executives and their families.

Ideal candidates have national certification in Medical Assisting (or Premise Health approved equivalent) and current BLS. The role emphasizes phlebotomy, injections, lab coordination, EKGs, and direct patient care with a 4‑day workweek and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Must have national cert in Medical Assisting or Premise Health approved equivalent with externship
• Current BLS/CPR or equivalent hands-on life support certification required

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height)
• Maintains patient health records with up-to-date information
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Administers medications including injections; performs lab tests and EKGs as allowed by state regs
• Performs front-desk duties, schedules appointments, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

As aFull Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care toclient employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Portland, OR.
The scheduled hours are Monday 7:00a -6:00p; Tuesday through Thursday 7:00a-5:00p.

• Make an impact in a premium corporate health center: Join a close-knit team supporting a primarily corporate patient population, including executives and their families, where you’ll provide a personalized, high-quality “white glove” patient experience.
• Put your clinical skills to work: Spend approximately 70% of your time in clinical care, with a strong focus on phlebotomy, injections, lab coordination, and supporting multiple providers. Epic experience and strong phlebotomy skills are highly valued.
• Enjoy a consistent 4-day schedule: Work Monday 7:00 AM–6:00 PM and Tuesday–Thursday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with onsite parking and access to the client’s cafeteria at the employee rate, including full meals and free coffee.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow‑up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
