Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant 4 to be the first point of contact for patient care. You will perform advanced administrative duties and direct patient care within the scope of your certification, collaborating with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.

Responsibilities include care coordination, documentation in the EMR, and leading a team of Medical Assistants. Strong qualifications and TB screening upon hire are required.

Qualifications

The Medical Assistant 4 is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant 4 assumes ownership and leads advanced and highly specialized administrative, operational, and customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment.

The Medical Assistant 4 performs clinical duties, including but not limited to: discussing symptoms, obtaining vital signs, medication/vaccine administration, phlebotomy, collecting specimens, performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing/cleaning equipment, maintaining examination rooms, and documenting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. Decisions are regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group and/or external vendors including coordinating work activities and monitoring progress towards schedules/goals, and often oversees work of others and/or is the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product, or technology. Works within broad guidelines with little oversight. The Medical Assistant 4 possesses advanced skills and knowledge, contributes to process improvement, delivers in-depth education/training, and provides advanced guidance/mentoring to other Medical Assistants.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years MA Experience
• Phlebotomy Experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• Certified or Registered
• CPR Certified
• This is a patient-facing role and part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. We require TB screening upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$48,300 - $65,900 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
