Job summary

City of Hope is hiring Medical Assistants to support clinicians and nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care. This role includes assisting with direct patient care and applying specialized knowledge to ensure an excellent patient experience.

The position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus and shifts from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Two openings exist: Infusion and Gynecologic Oncology, with experience in Ob/Gyn or oncology a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program is preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification from a recognized organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, and support patient care activities.

The successful candidate:

Position comes with a $3,000.00 sign-on bonus! Shift: M-F 8:00AM-4:30PM.

We have 2 positions open: 1 for Infusion and 1 working w/ our Gynecologic Oncologist. Ob/Gyn or oncology experience a plus!

This position is responsible for assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care, as well as, implementing and assisting with direct patient care. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment and skills to provide excellent patient experience.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent - AND- one of the following:

• Completion of an approved Medical Assistant (MA) Training Program (in accordance with Arizona State R4-16-101 accrediting regulations);
• Completion of an unapproved medical assistant training program and passage of the medical assistant examination administered by a certifying organization accredited by either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI);

OR

• Completion of a United States Armed Forces medical services training program.

Licensure

Certification:

• If a graduate of an unapproved program, Medical Assistant Certification from either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

OR

• Graduate under an approved training program identified in R4-16-101 when certificate was awarded.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
