Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support within our medical unit, helping ensure safe, efficient patient care and smooth daily operations. You will assist with patient flow, record vital signs, prepare exam rooms, collect specimens, and support providers during examinations, while upholding HIPAA and infection control standards.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable program required.
  • Prior experience in a physician’s office, clinic, or ambulatory healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment and examination rooms prior to patient visits.
  • Interview patients and obtain relevant medical history information.
  • Measure, record, and document vital signs and other clinical data in the patient’s medical record.
  • Provide basic patient education as directed by licensed healthcare staff.
  • Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures performed in the medical unit.
  • Collect specimens from patients and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Maintain adequate levels of clinical and clerical supplies for the unit.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties including documentation support and record maintenance.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities and Duties

Clinical Support

  • Prepare treatment and examination rooms prior to patient visits.
  • Interview patients and obtain relevant medical history information.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain adequate levels of clinical and clerical supplies for the unit.
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed, including documentation support and record maintenance.
Professional Practice and Compliance

  • Adhere to organizational policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
  • Participate in required training, emergency preparedness, and disaster drills.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education And Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a comparable program required.
  • Prior experience working in a physician’s office, clinic, or ambulatory healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required.

  • Completes required orientation as directed by the facility
  • Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
  • Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol
  • Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations
  • Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts
  • Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility
Physical Demands

  • May regularly be required to stand, sit, walk, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, or stretch, for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate and understand written and verbal communication.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
