Job summary

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant training, 1+ year experience, BLS/CPR, and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant training/program completion preferred.
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Experience with EHR/EMR, patient intake, vital signs, and specimen collection.
• Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and obtain medical histories and vital signs
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures
• Collect and process blood, urine, swab, and other specimens
• Administer injections and medications as directed and within scope
• Document patient information accurately in the EHR/EMR
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and support efficient patient flow
