Job summary

Midwest Pain Clinics in Omaha is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support, ensuring efficient, compassionate patient care during visits. You will assist with examinations and procedures, maintain records, and help with scheduling and coordination within a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers a full-time schedule with a Monday–Friday weekday rhythm and opportunities to gain experience in specialized pain management and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED plus 1+ year in a healthcare setting.
  • Medical Assistant certification, if required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare/clerical procedures.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients, answer phones, and schedule appointments.
  • Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, test results, and other medical information.
  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, medications, and patient care.
  • Assist with patient transfers before and after procedures.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and manage the patient waitlist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and protect patient confidentiality.
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare safety and compliance standards.
  • Provide compassionate support to patients and families.
  • Complete required training and other duties as assigned.

Full-Time | $20/hour | Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM

Position Summary
