Job summary

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required.
  • High School diploma required.
  • At least two years of experience working in a medical office with similar volume.
  • Previous experience working with an Electronic Medical Record system required.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients into exam rooms to prep for Physician visit.
  • Pace visits and patient rooming accordingly. Communicate any delays in appointments to patients at time of rooming.
  • Complete pre-visit requirements including reconciliation of medical lists, collecting vitals and lab collection. Update patient records in the EMR in time for physician visit.
  • Draw blood from patients and deliver specimen to in house lab.
  • Work collaboratively with the Medical Receptionist team to ensure Physician schedule is utilized appropriately.
  • Monitor Physician inbox in EMR for messages, respond appropriately according to Physician workflow Participates in department meetings and in-service training as required.
  • Cover the front desk as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned
