Job summary

Columbus Oncology & Hematology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians at our Columbus, Dublin, and Westerville locations. The role involves rooming patients, collecting vitals, and maintaining accurate records, with a focus on confidentiality and efficient workflow.

The ideal candidate has two years of Medical Assistant experience and a CMA certification is preferred. BLS certification and strong communication skills are required to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Two years medical assistant experience.
  • Certified Medical Assistant in Ohio preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients and obtain vitals, patient history, and reason for seeking care.
  • Maintain patient records confidentiality.
  • Prepare lab and radiology and acquire lab and x-ray reports.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to emergent situations per protocols.
  • Maintain work area, exam rooms, and supplies.
  • Perform basic triage per specific office protocol procedures.

Essential Duties:
