Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a Medical Assistant to screen patients, collect pertinent information, and support physicians during visits in alignment with age-specific needs.

You will help maintain exam rooms, assist with patient communications, and provide clinic support as needed. Day shifts, experience preferred with CMA/RMA preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience required.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and obtain pertinent information.
• Assist physician or advanced practitioner during patient visits per age-specific needs.
• Assist the physician/advanced practitioner in all aspects of patient care and communication as instructed.
• Maintain exam rooms and work environment.
• Provide support to the clinic as needed.

• Prefer at least one year experience in a clinical or physician-office setting, emergency room and/or a hospital setting that provides patient care. Experience in office clerical activities desirable.

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

• CMA or RMA preferred.
