Job summary

Sentara Health Plans is seeking a Medical Assistant in Norfolk, VA. The position supports patient care and administrative duties under the direction of physicians, NPs/PAs, RNs or LPNs. The role requires completion of a high school diploma and appropriate certification within 90 days.

This on-site role offers a Monday–Friday days shift with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for eligible candidates and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification required or up to date in CMA/RMA/CCMA/EMT-B/AEMT or BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year clinical/administrative experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
