Job summary

SpineSearch LLC in Pennsylvania is partnering with a large multi-site surgical practice to identify a dedicated Clinical Assistant / Medical Assistant to join their growing team. This role supports physicians and staff in a fast-paced clinical setting, focusing on delivering exceptional patient care across locations.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and medical office workflows is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between office locations as required by the schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome, room, and prepare patients for physician examinations and procedures.
  • Triage patients by obtaining and documenting medical histories, chief complaints, and vital signs.
  • Prepare examination rooms and patient charts prior to appointments.
  • Obtain and organize outside medical records and reports as needed.
  • Enter physician orders accurately into the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records.
  • Develop a general understanding of insurance verification and the medical billing process.
  • Monitor and maintain clinical supply inventory, place orders, and ensure examination rooms remain fully stocked.
  • Maintain medical equipment by following operating procedures, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating repairs when necessary.
  • Support physicians and office leadership with additional clinical and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
  • Travel between practice locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities
