Allied Physicians Group in Whitestone, NY is seeking a Medical Assistant to bring compassion, organization, and energy to a fast-paced pediatric practice. You will greet patients, take vitals, and support providers during visits while handling administrative tasks and patient registration.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of Medical Assistant or Receptionist experience, familiarity with AthenaOne/Phreesia, and a patient-focused, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Medical Assistant and/or Medical Receptionist experience preferred.
• Experience with AthenaOne and/or Phreesia strongly preferred.
• Pediatric or multi-site medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients while providing excellent customer service.
• Obtain vitals, update medical histories, and assist with patient intake.
• Prepare patients for visits and support providers during appointments as needed.
• Perform basic clinical duties including specimen collection and point-of-care testing as applicable.
• Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration.
• Answer phones, process messages, and support office communication.
• Verify insurance, collect copays, and maintain accurate patient information.
• Support referrals, forms, scanning, and general administrative tasks.
