HCA Healthcare's Centennial Heart seeks a Medical Assistant to join a patient-focused team in Nashville. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, days, with no nights, weekends, or on-call, and includes occasional travel to Woodbury and Smithville using a company vehicle.

• You will prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization

• You will answer telephone calls to the practice and screens for referral

Job Summary and Qualifications

Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays

This team travels to Woodbury every Thursday and to Smithville every third Wednesday of the month. A company vehicle is available for these trips.

Team members who travel may receive an additional 1.00 per hour worked on travel days when using the company vehicle. Alternatively, mileage reimbursement may be available if the employee lives closer to the travel location and travels directly from home.

What Qualifications you will need:

Experience:

One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.

High School Diploma or GED Required

Certification/License: 3 ways to qualify:

• Medical Assistant Certification - required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA certification, or ABR-OE credentials is acceptable
• Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment.
• Candidates/incumbents with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within one year of hire date.
