Hanker Systems, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for our orthopedic clinic in Mount Pleasant, SC. The role supports patient preparation, history taking, venipuncture and clerical tasks to ensure smooth visits and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include assisting the orthopedic surgeon during examinations, performing triage by phone, scheduling follow-ups, processing orders, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms to promote excellent patient care and patient flow.

Qualificações

• Current CMA Certification.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Adult outpatient clinic experience required.
• Venipuncture experience required.
• Telephone triage experience required.
• Appointment scheduling experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Room patients and prepare them for orthopedic clinic visits.
• Obtain and document patient histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
• Assist the Orthopedic Surgeon during examinations and treatments.
• Perform telephone triage and respond to patient messages.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection procedures.
• Apply and assist with casts, braces, and splints.
• Perform dressing changes and wound care as directed.
• Process clinical orders and patient care documentation.
• Assist with insurance verification and authorization requests.
• Handle pharmacy refill requests and provider communications.
• Prepare charts and maintain accurate medical records.
• Stock and organize clinical supplies and exam rooms.
• Promote efficient patient flow and excellent patient experience.

• Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
