Job summary

Quality Talent Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for a leading Cincinnati healthcare network offering both full-time and part-time roles. You will assist physicians, manage patient flow, document reviews, and prepare charts in the EMR to support efficient clinic operations.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, completes a Medical Assistant program or has MA experience, BLS certification, and strong computer, communication, and clinical skills to deliver quality patient

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Maintain patient flow and document review of systems, vital signs, medical history, and medications.
• Record patient information in EMR and prepare charts by scanning and reviewing records.
• Obtain diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other records as needed.
• Process medication refills and pre-authorizations while communicating with patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies.
• Maintain patient samples and medications, dispose of expired medications, and order supplies.
• Prepare and maintain clean, fully supplied examination rooms.
• Obtain pertinent medical information to support decision-making.
• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in/out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management queues and workflow logs.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
• Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors, and other diagnostic equipment.

• Answer calls, respond to MyChart messages, schedule appointments, and check patients in and out.
• Manage EMR/Practice Management in-baskets, workflow logs, work queues, and related office tasks.
• Complete pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
• Operate EKGs, cardiac monitors, and other equipment to perform routine diagnostic tests.
• Perform clinical duties such as phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with safety, legal, quality, and patient experience standards.
• May assist with training new employees or coordinate/oversee work queues in the office.
