Job summary

Green Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant with related experience to join our team. You will prepare for patient visits by pulling charts, assist with keeping tests and lab reports on track, and help manage inventory + cleaning of rooms and instruments. Strong customer service and EMA familiarity are valued.

The role involves greeting patients, checking in/out, scheduling, data entry, and supporting providers. Dermatology experience preferred, with CMA/BLS credentials required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dermatology setting is required.
• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visit, including pulling charts and notes, as well as setting up medical equipment
• Clean instruments and equipment after use
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, taking messages, identifying visit needs, directing calls appropriately
• Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care and procedures
• Track lab results, call in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties
• Proficient in EMA preferred
• Greeting and interacting with patients
• Checking patients in and out, verifying and updating medical records
• Completing data entry and scanning
• Maintaining appointment schedules by following scheduling procedures
• Collecting co-pays
• Verifying insurances
• Rooming patients
• Recording patient’s medical history/scribing
• Communicating with patients
• Maintaining and cleaning exam rooms

About the Company

Green Dermatology, located in Milford, De, is a dermatology practice focused on resolving dermatological concerns and prioritizing the overall well-being and self-assurance of our patients. The office was established in July of 2024 and quickly gained traction with the local community. The practice has seen the number of patients increase steadily since opening and we are in need of an additional staff member to handle the increased volume. Green Dermatology works alongside Green Clinics Laboratory, located in Dover Delaware, and both offices are under the same ownership/management.

Job Summary

Green Dermatology is seeking a Medical Assistant with related experience to join our team! As a Medical Assistant, you will be preparing for each patient visit by preparing charts and pulling notes before their arrival, providing routine support alongside other medical assistants and medical staff, and assisting with keeping track of tests and lab reporting to ensure everything arrives on time and the patient is kept informed on their condition and care. You will also be helping manage the inventory of medical supplies, setting up machines and testing equipment, and cleaning instruments and rooms as needed. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, experience using EMA, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous office experience.
