Job summary

Geode Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support outpatient mental health services. The role blends clinical support with administrative duties in a fast-paced physician office setting, delivering compassionate care to patients.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of medical office experience, strong communication, and comfort assisting patients with anxiety and depression. You will handle vital signs, records, and facility safety, contributing to accessible, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a medical office and/or mental health setting.
• Experience with patients facing anxiety and depression preferred.
• Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor with patients.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with medical records.

We are looking for a passionate Medical Assistant.The ideal candidate will be motivated by joining a quickly growing organization. Excited to help us improve the care experience for patients and providers. The Medical Assistant is a multi-skilled worker who assumes a wide range of clinical and administrative roles within the physician office setting. The Medical Assistant serves as a key team player when interacting and communicating with patients and/or clinical staff in the ambulatory care environment. Most importantly we’re looking to bring someone into our team who is excited about our mission to improve mental healthcare across the country.

Job Responsibilities

• Handling vital signs, such as weight, height, temperature, pulse, uranalysis and respiration rate
• Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records
• Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards
• Respond to verbal and electronic requests for information and assistance using proper policies, reference tools and provider instructions
• Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations
• Understanding of policies and procedures
• Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications / Skills

• At least one year of experience working in a medical office and/or mental health is (preferred)

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team
• Excellent computer skills

Education and Experience Requirements

Associates or bachelor’s degree (preferred)

Some experience in healthcare settings (preferred)

Knowledge of working at a clinical setting (preferred)
