Job summary

SupportFinity™ in Las Vegas is looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to help provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assisting in examinations, managing patient records, and ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.

The ideal candidate will have a recognized medical assistant certification, experience in a clinical setting, and strong communication skills. We offer numerous benefits, including paid holidays, PTO, and health insurance.

Qualifications

• One year medical assisting experience in an ambulatory/clinical setting preferred.
• Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Current, nationally recognized Medical assistant Certification required.

Job description

Working Under the direction of physician/provides. The MA is responsible to assist in the examination and treatment of patients delivering high quality care and services, maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant Program Required

Qualifications

• Current, nationally recognized Medical assistant Certification or Registration required or obtained within 90 days of employment
• Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of employment
• Basic computer literacy required
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• Good communication and customer service skills required
• Knowledge of CLIA and OSHA guidelines
• Knowledge of sterilization and disinfection procedures
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws and ability to adhere to confidentiality policies
• Knowledge of current medical assistant best practices and procedures including EKG and basic drugs
• Knowledge of medical and pharmacology terminology and medical office procedures
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Working knowledge of patient management software and basic Microsoft office products. EPIC Preferred
• Ability to identify and apply proper communication methods in patient instruction
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret and read documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills
• Skills to implement good safety practices that prevent exposure to known workplace hazards and the necessary action needed when exposed
• Skill in applying and modifying principles, methods and techniques of a medical assistant to provide ongoing patient care
• Strong attention to detail skills
