Michigan Orthopedic Center seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to join a high-performing team in Lansing, MI. You will support providers, obtain vitals, and document in the EHR, while assisting with injections and orthopedic procedures.

The role requires formal MA training, EHR experience, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor. Prior orthopedic or ModMed experience is preferred; CPR certification is a plus.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Independently support providers by assisting up to 45 patients daily, including vitals and medical history.
• Enter patient information into the EHR and assist with injections and suture removal.
• Support orthopedic procedures and ensure a patient-focused experience.
• Collaborate with a high-functioning team and follow clinical protocols.
• Maintain patient privacy and comply with OSHA, HIPAA guidelines.

Michigan Orthopedic Center seeks a patient focused, clinically trained, dynamic full-time Medical Assistant who wishes to join a high performing team and a great environment.

Our next team member will be expected to:

• - Independently support our providers by assisting up to 45 patients per day, including obtaining vitals, confirming medical history, and entering information into the EHR
• - Assist with injections, suture removal, and other orthopedic procedures
• - Support the mission to ensure patients to have a successful, patient focused experience
• - Work collaboratively with high functioning team

Applicants must have successfully completed formal Medical Assistant training and have prior EHR experience. Medical Assistant certification is preferred. Candidates with certification and previous experience in an orthopedic or specialty medical practice will receive priority consideration. The ideal candidate represents the practice in a professional, service oriented manner that supports the overall mission of the practice.

Michigan Orthopedic Center is a multi-physician surgical practice serving mid-Michigan since 1990. We are committed to providing state-of-the art, high quality orthopedic care and a professional, compassionate patient experience. Our subspecialty fellowship trained surgeons treat complex orthopedic surgical issues including joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder, foot and ankle surgery, fracture surgery, spinal surgery and sports medicine.

• Effectively executes clinical processes and protocols, as outlined
• Greets patients and escorts them to the applicable exam room
• Obtains all necessary medical information for providers including chief complaint, symptoms, medical history, blood pressure, temperature, etc.
• Assists providers in all potential treatments,
• Assures patients are provided with all the information, documents, etc. needed, as identified by the provider
• Complies with all OSHA, HIPAA and Health Department requirements
• Completes accurate and timely documentation, as assigned
• Assists with scribe duties, as assigned
• Performs other duties, as assigned
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and ensure patients’ right to privacy
• Assists providers and other team members as appropriate when available.
