Job summary

Security Solutions of Texas is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our clinical team in an urgent care setting. The role involves preparing patients, taking vital signs, assisting providers, and maintaining records with accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures.
  • Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist Providers with tasks during patient visits.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens as instructed.
  • Administer medications and injections under the supervision of Clinical Lead and/or Educational Coordinator.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
  • Maintains nursing stations and examination areas in a manner consistent with OSHA standards.
  • Answer and screen phone calls.
  • Exhibits a high degree of courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform X-Ray and EKG (training is provided).
  • Assist Occupational Medicine staff with Urine Specimens as needed.
  • Performs other related duties assigned by management.

Under direct supervision, the Medical Assistant will join our esteemed organization in a high and professional manner. The Medical Assistant will assist healthcare providers in preparing patients for examinations, collecting vital signs and medical histories, administering medications and injections as directed, and maintaining patient records in compliance with regulations. Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Frequently required to walk, sit, and stand
