Job description

Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG) is looking for compassionate Medical Assistants to fill open positions within our clinics. Hours will vary based on the needs of the clinic.

Responsibilities

Assist with rooming of patients, taking patient histories and vitals, scheduling appointments, and follow‑up contacts regarding appointments. Work directly with physicians and clinical staff to ensure accurate and complete medical records for each patient.

Qualifications

Computer skills and dependability are required. Prior clinical experience is preferred, with particular preference for applicants who have extensive medication and medical terminology knowledge. Excellent customer service skills, a positive friendly attitude, team player, ability to multi‑task and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Work Environment

Works in heated and air‑conditioned area; may be exposed to infectious materials and contagious conditions, including exposure to patient body fluids, blood, contaminated sharps and hazardous disinfecting chemicals. Must follow universal precautions and utilize personal protective equipment.
