Job summary

Women’s Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support in a fast-paced OB/GYN setting. You will prepare patients, assist providers during procedures, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms while documenting vital signs and medical history.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CMA preferred or achievable within 120 days, CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication skills to educate patients and coordinate with team members.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; CMA certification preferred or ability to obtain within 120 days.
  • Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days via Women’s Care training.
  • Experience in OB/GYN or primary care is a plus.
  • Ability to interact and communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional clinical care following established standards.
  • Prepare patients during office visits and assist during treatment, examinations, and testing.
  • Maintain and restock examination rooms, labs, and care areas per policies.
  • Record medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints; perform phlebotomy and injections if applicable.
  • Educate patients with information and instructions from providers; ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Relay messages between patients, front office staff, and providers; represent the office professionally.
  • Participate in team activities and required meetings; uphold Women’s Care values.

With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.The Medical Assistant provides professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices. Prepares patients during office visits and assists patients and family members before, during and after a doctor’s visit.Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment/procedures, examinations, and testing of patients.Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas per established policies and procedures.Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.Measure, record, and document vital signs.Where applicable, perform phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection per established policies and procedures as directed by the provider.Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by the provider.Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.Sterilize medical instruments per established standards and procedures.Relay messages from patients and front office staff to providers.Represent the office in a professional manner.
