Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. You will work directly with patients and support physicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting, with hands-on training and ongoing clinical development.

You'll assist with rooming, vitals, minor procedures, X‑rays, and patient education while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate EMR documentation. A team-focused, detail-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic.
• Willingness to travel between local office locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in‑office procedures.
• Take vitals, update histories, document medications and allergies in EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post‑op care, and X‑rays.
• Apply dressings and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens and perform insurance verifications and pre‑authorizations.
• Process prescriptions as directed and make post‑op calls.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage supplies.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and support back‑office operations.

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you!

You'll work alongside our podiatrists providing hands‑on patient care in a professional, fast‑paced outpatient setting. Hands‑on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or someone looking to grow their clinical skills.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in‑office procedures
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post‑op care, digital X‑rays, and basic podiatric services
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre‑authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed
• Make post‑operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back‑office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
