Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to support podiatry physicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will work closely with patients, prepare exam rooms, take vitals, and assist with minor procedures.

Hands-on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Medical Assistant or someone looking to grow their clinical skills in podiatry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced clinic environment.
• Detail‑oriented, professional, and patient‑focused.
• Ability to travel between local office locations.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in‑office procedures.
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post‑op care, digital X‑rays, and basic podiatric services.
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre‑authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
• Make post‑operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back‑office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

You’ll work alongside our podiatrists providing hands‑on patient care in a professional, fast‑paced outpatient setting.
