Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. You will work directly with patients and support physicians in a fast‑paced outpatient setting, gaining hands‑on clinical skills and ongoing training.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and teamwork abilities and a patient‑focused approach. This is an on‑site position with competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Complete Medical Assistant program or have 1+ year of clinical experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented, professional and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Take vitals, update histories, document in EMR, and record medications/allergies.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post‑op care, X‑rays, and basic podiatric services.
• Provide patient instructions, education, and dressings/DMEs as needed.
• Manage lab specimens, verify insurance and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
• Make post-operative calls and provide excellent customer service.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory.

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is looking for a Medical Assistant to join our growing podiatry practice. If you enjoy working directly with patients, supporting physicians, and being part of a team, we'd love to meet you!

You'll work alongside our podiatrists providing hands‑on patient care in a professional, fast‑paced outpatient setting. Hands‑on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or someone looking to grow their clinical skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience


• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills


• Detail‑oriented, professional, and patient‑focused

Preferred Qualifications:

• CMA or RMA certification preferred


• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems


• Experience with medical terminology


• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in‑office procedures

• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education


• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre‑authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed


• Make post‑operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service


• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies


• Maintain accurate documentation, support back‑office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance

Pay Range:

• $21 - $22 per hour, based on experience
