Job summary

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Clinical Duties

• Patient Intake: Interview patients to record medical history and the reason for their visit.
• Vitals & Triage: Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and weight.
• Exam Prep: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and assist physicians during procedures.
• Testing: Collect blood, prepare laboratory specimens, and perform basic diagnostic tests like EKGs.
• Medication: Administer medications or injections as directed by a licensed physician.

Administrative Duties

• Scheduling: Coordinate appointments, check patients in/out, and handle follow-ups.
• Record Keeping: Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) while adhering to privacy laws.
• Inventory: Manage medical and office supply levels, restock rooms, and place equipment orders.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Completion of an accredited medical assistant certification program.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, basic computer proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
