Newton Psychiatric Clinic, LLC is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Medical Assistant to join the team during open clinic hours. You will support psychiatrists and counselors with triage, vitals, referrals and patient education, contributing to coordinated, quality care.

The role emphasizes collaboration within an interdisciplinary team and reliable transportation to and from the clinic in Harrisburg, PA.

Qualifications

• Experience as a medical assistant in behavioral health is preferred.
• Strong patient communication and triage abilities.
• Familiarity with intake procedures, vital signs, and referrals.
• Billing experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.

Responsabilités

• Participates in daily review and processing of behavioral health services.
• Provides coordinated care to patients enrolled in psychiatric and counseling services.
• Educates and assists with case management for patients and supports psychiatrists and behavioral providers.
• Performs intake triage and assists patients with vitals and referrals.

Seeking a part time, 10 hour shift every Friday and 10 hour shift every other Monday only during open clinic hours. No additional hours available.

Behavioral Health Medical Assistant who is an:

• Empathic individual with competent observational, clinical, critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills in order to meet patient needs and contribute to a positive patient care experience and work environment.
• Takes part in the daily review and process for providing behavioral services.
• Provides coordinated care to a variety of patients enrolled in psychiatric and counseling services with Practice, and functions as part of the interdisciplinary care team by providing education and case management directly to patients, and support to Psychiatrists and Behavioral Providers. Performs intake triage, assists patients with vitals, and referrals.
• Any billing experience a plus.
• Must have valid drivers license and own transportation.
